Akuma no Riddle (悪魔のリドル, Akuma no Ridoru, lit. Devil's Riddle) is a manga series originally written by Yun Kōga, with illustrations by Sunao Minakata. The story revolves around an assassin named Tokaku Azuma who transfers to Myōjō Academy, a private girls' boarding school. She doesn't transfer alone. There are in-fact, 12 other assassins with her, each one with a single mission...the assassination of Haru Ichinose. The manga was published between September 2012 to December 2016.
The manga series is written by Yun Kōga, with illustrations by Sunao Minakata. It started serialized in the September 2012 issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine. The anime adaption is directed by Keizō Kusakawa and produced by Diomedéa. The anime began airing in Japan on April 3, 2014. The screenplay is written by Kiyoko Yoshimura and chief animation director Naomi Ide bases the character designs used in the anime on Sunao Minakata's original designs. The opening theme is "Sōshō Innocence" (創傷イノセンス Wounded Innocence) by Maaya Uchida, while each episode features a different ending theme sung by the character prominent in the episode. The series is licensed for streaming by Funimation in North America and Madman Entertainment in Australia, and is being simulcast by Crunchyroll outside of North America.
